This Yin YOGA class offers a longer style of held poses with a variety of poses all situated on the floor targeting mostly our hips for better flexibility and pliability within in our lower and upper extremities. Yin yoga offers a deeper connection to our bodies and it's primarily done in the evenings to help expend extra ATP in the muscles from over exertion in sports or repetitive motions in daily activity. Yin yoga offers so many benefits the list is huge and each class is different helping you to open your hips and shoulders and lower back relieving pain and old restrictions even in the neck... Good Morning Vinyasa with Breath work (Pranayama), Stretching to get our body in motion and warmed up for the remainder of the Yoga sequence. A Series of sun salutations, planks, side planks, standing poses, balance leg and arm poses, seated and reclining twists with inversions to help define your muscle tone, lengthen your posture correct our body's self awareness, while balancing our mind for more clarity and connection to divine source energy. “A practice of Flow to Stillness”.
The class begins with a sequence of vinyasa asanas, while building heat and energy to transition into longer-held YIN poses to target deeper connective tissue and fascial layers.
This yoga style provides benefits to help relieve restricted mobility, tight adhesions, old injuries and sports related stressors on the musculature system to unravel whilst fascial layers are softened, elongated, and recovered from sports exercises, activities that may have caused muscle fatigue.
The practice promotes relaxation while our emphasis is also on breath work, to deepen the practice and improve kinetic awareness connecting with the body.
Vin Yin Yoga is practiced for all levels and props are used to help modify or deepen the asana, either in Vinyasa or Yin practice.
Yoga fused with inspired pilates and functional mobility movements. We use small light weights to build strength and resistance bands to complete the fusion of stability in our joints. Slow Flow functional mobility vinyasa style yoga is fused throughout and we end with a rolling sequence to help elongate connective tissue and recovery. Core and More focused on this segment of 60 min total fusing all movements with yoga asana for balanced whole body engagement.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED: WEIGHTS, ROLLER, RESISTANCE BAND and YOGA MAT.
YOGA practice with 30 min focus on functional movements that warm up the hips and upper body to help lengthen into the poses longer while feeling refreshed and blood circulated that allows for more awareness in posture and headspace for creative thinking. This is also a great class to add post run or pre cardio workouts.
